Pack for UmrahWhether this is your first time performing Umrah or you’ve visited it before, well-prepared packing is essential to ensure comfort and peace of mind during your trip. In this simple guide, we provide a comprehensive and organized list of what you should pack for your Umrah trip.

1. Travel documents (keep them in your hand luggage)

  • ✔️ Passport (valid for at least 6 months)

  • ✔️ Umrah visa (processed by the agency)

  • ✔️ Flight ticket

  • ✔️ National ID card or a copy of it

  • ✔️ Proof of reservation (hotel + flight)

  • ✔️ International vaccination card (if requested)

  • ✔️ Health insurance or a copy of it (if available)

Tip : Keep digital copies on your phone and send them to your email.

2. Appropriate clothing

     For men:

  • 2 or 3 Ihram garments (white izar and rida)

  • Light and modest clothing for comfort outside of ihram

  • Comfortable open sandal (for ihram and tawaf)

    For women:

  • Loose, comfortable abayas (preferably dark in color)

  • A veil/hijab that covers the entire hair

  • Closed, comfortable walking shoes or sandals

  • a hat or small umbrella for sun protection

Make sure your clothes are loose and not revealing, and don’t forget to take 2-3 sets just in case.

3. Health and medical tools

  • Protective masks (especially in crowds)

  • hand sanitizer

  • Paper and wet tissues

  • Small toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste)

  • Your medications (blood pressure, sugar, stomach medications, vitamins)

  • Adhesive bandages (for minor ulcers or cuts)

  • Vaseline or moisturizing cream to prevent cracked feet

Remember: Do not take any prohibited or non-prescription medications with you if they require a license.

4. Appliances and electronics

  • Phone charger + power bank

  • Multi-socket (Saudi Arabia Type G sockets)

  • Earphones (for listening to prayers or instructions)

  • Phone with international credit or that supports roaming

5. Religious matters

  • A small booklet of Umrah supplications or an electronic application

  • Rosary (optional)

  • A small notebook for writing down feelings and experiences.

  • Illustrated guide to the rituals (paper or electronic)

6. Very useful additional items

  • Small backpack for the Haram (for water, the Qur’an, and slippers)

  • Waist bag for storing money and papers during Tawaf

  • Water bottle with filter (optional)

  • Snacks (dates, biscuits, nuts…)

  • Small umbrella (especially during crowded or hot weather)

Do not take with you:

  • Valuable items (jewelry, expensive watches, etc.)
